Aluminum Made Ford Tough!

The Ford Motor Company recently announced a new F-150 pickup truck built completely from aluminum. Moving from the use of stamped steel, the F-150 aluminum body is 700 pounds lighter than previous models. This bold move in an industry still dependent on steel is Ford’s effort to provide increased fuel efficiency. The move to aluminum is both a response to small business owner’s need to reduce their gasoline costs and also due to increased government regulations to increase fuel economy.
